I am stuck indoors all winter Mark. Am planning and collecting items for a N gauge model railway. You could do this too. Lots of information on the NET just google and see what comes up.
There is a lot to learn. Or a table model for another interest you have. Lots of suppliers providing the bits and pieces we need. Makes an interest to cheer us up these coming cold days. You could make a table top garden !
