Hi, I've just joined growsonyou as we bought a house earlier this year with a 100ft garden and I know very little about gardening, but am very keen to learn!

The garden has three levels: a patio area with shrubs on one side and a raised wall with planting hole on the other, which leads to a wooden archway with rambling rose and other plants around it, which then leads to a very small lawned area with more shrubs and 3 conifers which were huge but have had those cut down to a height which I can reach and have enjoyed my first mission in topiary, which doesn't look too bad. Also on this level is another area which is paved, then down a few steps to the main lawn which is planted with shrubs, fruit bushes etc on both sides, and also has a plum tree, and also there was a small rockery area, which I have put a wishing well onto and planted with lobelia, which is shown in the photo. At the very end of the garden is a small rockery area. So lots to work on and plan, it has kept me busy over the Summer but I have only touched the tip of the iceberg!
I have a Tibetan Terrier called Bobby who loves to lie outside and watch me do all the hard work, I have yet to get him trained as my little gardening helper. :-)
