Extended lake walk this morning.

This area runs alongside the old steam train tracks which,by the way, still run every week passing through the town. It’s at a slightly higher level than the lake….The following photo is the information on the origin of the St Mary’s footbridge. It was originally built in kit form….in 2007 carefully dismantled and transferred to a nearby factory for restoration. Now listed as grade 2.
The River Severn just showing in the distance.
There are a few attractive, Victorian lamp posts dotted along the route.
We walked over the footbridge arriving at St Mary’s churchyard where the grass was covered with snowdrops. The church is 13th century.
It’s quite difficult to upload any photos on this blog…I keep having a message to say there has been a problem try again from GOY itself.Size not a problem.
On our way home,2 Greylag ducks appeared, strangely no swans today.
Popped into Hanley’s farm shop/cafe(love the tiny twinkly lights in the beams) for a flat white and half a tea cake….the other half my OH devoured…they are huge teacakes,so only a half is sufficient.
So sorry I’ve tried so many times to attach a few more photos, but alas still a problem..
Has anyone experienced the same?

Hi Julia, I have had the same problem with photos for my blog too.
Lovely walk that you had. Steam trains are wonderful aren't they?

MEADOWLAND, Thanks for persisting with your blog.
I had a problem yesterday loading my Clematis pic, although the others loaded no problem. Message told me Sorry, try again. I tried 3 times, then I put my pic, thro a pic-editing app, tried again, no problem!

What a lovely walk Julia, with a perfect finish! When I meet a friend for coffee, we often enjoy sharing a tea cake too because they’re enormous 🙂.

If you have the option of choosing- high....medium....or low resolution, choose low resolution to reduce the number of pixels in the image. That might ease its loading into this site.

Hope everyone finds a solution to the photo problem soon. Isn't it frustrating.
The photos are very interesting.
The footbridge and the lamp post have such a nostalgic feel. You are so lucky to have a steam train running through regularly! Do you get steam enthusiasts taking photos? I looked it up in OH's pre grouping railway atlas and found it after a bit of searching. The line I found goes up to Stroud - (is that the one)It is so good to see one that's still in use. (Apart from the sidings...)

MEADOWLAND, Sorry can't see any of your pics on this blog today.
I take my photos on a Canon Ixus 230, and use an Ipad 4 to view GoU ( both very old now). Taking pics in portrait mode, other devices see my pics sideways on, so sometime I use an app called Pic Stitch to turn or make a compilation picture. About a couple of years ago, my screen only on Gou kept locking up, got fed up, so took a sabbatical!

Thanks for letting us share your morning walk, Julia. I'm imagining how the teacake tasted at the end of "our" walk 😊
Seems like several of us have been struggling with posting this past week. Hopefully we'll have some positive feedback.
