I have shown you this walk before so have tried to differ it a little.
It has become quite popular for walkers.
The path maintenance is done by public donations.
The wonderful gorse grows everywhere lighting up like a beacon.
The Hawthorn blossom,a white haze, looks so delicate.
Walking on a tree I often pass by caught my gaze ….a very old Laurel. An under valued tree…I should take more notice of the hedgerows on future walks.
The next photo shows ’ end of track’ remnants from Beeching’s
railway!.
Further on is the beginnings of a wildlife pond.My OH spied that the liner they had used wasn’t very appropriate, a recycled one which will break down fairly quickly especially as the pond is so shallow..they needed to use a Butyl one.(Memories of our lining business)
I think that’s just about it…oh,no just one other mini delight…a solitary clump of Primroses amongst the rubble.

Oh, how sweet, a clump of beautiful yellow primroses! Hopefully they will survive and spread?
It’ll be nice to see future pics of the pond, Julia.
We’ve blackthorn on the bund and it’s blossom is so pretty.

Bravo primroses! Stick with it...
Are you sure the blossom is hawthorn? That wouldn't be out for at least another month normally. But the blackthorn is just coming into its best display at present and I'd bet that's what it is. Its beautiful anyway - so cheering. It is so nice sharing all the lovely walks Goyers take - thank you!
