Winter is on it's way.

The garden is now ready for winter and I am sitting looking out and planning next year. I have so many ideas in my head and am itching to put them into practice. I expect all gardeners feel this way, but when the garden is bare it is easier to see where changes can be made.
The family are all asking what I would like for Christmas and when I answer anything to do with the garden they all despair, but they do not realise how much pleasure and activity (health wise) the garden brings to me they may realise when they are older as both of my children are not gardeners (yet) they may change their minds like I did later in life.
Right where are all my gardening books and my cappucino!!

Millie, fortunately for me, my garden is never bare, and I'm out there 12 months of the year weather permitting, I don't think I could cope not getting out and doing something in the garden all year.

They may well change their minds later, millie - my brother in law, who loathed and detested anything to do with the garden, is a completely reformed character - he got to 51 and suddenly, nothing else mattered - he's completely obsessed with his garden!
And ask away for things you'd like for your gardening pleasure - raised eyebrows and despairing looks regardless - as long as you get what you need, what's a few disparaging glances?

It's nice to look at gardening books by the fire in the winter :o)
