Sow Brussels sprouts on 6 – 7, 16 and 23 – 25 February – protect from frost.
Sow early carrots and plant onion sets on 1 – 2, 10, 19 – 20 and 29 February, protect the carrot seed from frost.
Sow early peas (protect from frost) and broad beans on 8 -9, 17 – 18 and 27 February.
Mulch around your gooseberries, currants and raspberry canes on 9 and 13 February.
Prune apple and pear trees and gooseberry bushes on 4 – 14 February when the Moon is descending.
No work should be done in the garden on 11 (pm) perigee.

Hi Katarina, Fruit trees and bushes should be prune when the moon is waning and descending and preferably on a rising tide. So ideally 8 - 13 Feb. (avoiding the perigee) and in the morning to catch the rising tide. 08:15 on 8 Feb. approx. half an hour later each day. But that is UK time so yours will differ.

You have mnetioned fruit trees and bushes..does that apply to all bushes? And my hair? :)

No flowering shrubs should be pruned when the moon is descending and waxing which is 3 - 6 Feb. Hair is a whole different ball game depends whether you want to slow down growth, have it grow thicker, or prevent hair loss!

Pixi, just for fun, my Moon calendar says, that the day suitable for the cut is just today and again will be - my God! - on the second April. :) This year, I mean, lol. So hurry up, still some hours remaining :)

I'm getting my hair cut on Monday and hope and pray it is a bad day... i.e. it will slow down growth - my hair grows faster than a lot of weeds!

Thanks for answering my cosmos question. I'm really interested in growing by the moon. I bought on ebook on it but it all looks very complicated. You make it sound so easy when you just sY which date to do what on. I'll definitely be watching your posts now. Thanks again.

Hi Moongrower, are really good for pruning days between 9th and 12th February? In my Moon calendar (which is not so much specified for types of plants as yours) there are suitable days for replanting and cutting/pruning on 13th-14th and then on the 19th Feb. :)
