Priceless "cat moment" tonight!

After I built a nice fire in the fireplace, all of my cats gathered on the couch to enjoy the warmness of the room.
It is rare to see all of them gathered in one place:
Left to right is “Izzy”, a kitten that we adopted from my wife’s sister, “Smokey”, that was being groomed by Izzy, that is a shelter adoption, and “Trouble”, that was found as a kitten years ago in the backyard of our previous home.
“Smokey” was a very special adoption because we adopted him one week before the shelter suffered a fire that started in the laundry room and wiped out 90% of their cat population and 60% of the dogs. It was SO tragic.. “Smokey” has been the best male cat that I have ever owned and has become “daddy’s cat”..
That’s ’ma boy!

What a lovely picture, and it sounds horrific what happened to the shelter. So sad, but at least the picture is lovely to look at.
