Update on my little container tree!

I wrote a previous blog about a little potted tree that was in stress and detailed what I have changed to save it: Sick tree blog
I have some new updated photos taken just 2 weeks later!
Get a load of this new growth that the little tree has put on!
This photo is the growth transition area near the top of the tree where the new green growth sprouted out of the old brown trunk. Absolutely amazing! And it happened in only two weeks!
Here is a photo of the size of the new growth. If you look closely, you can see some of the older leaves that still have the brown edges below the new area. The upper area is going to town!:
This photo gives you an idea of the size of the new growth and you can see that distinct “brown to green trunk transition” :
This has been the MOST excellent organic experiment that I have ever done!
The outcome totally blows me away! I would have never expected a full 6" of new vibrant growth in such a short time, by just improving the growing soil for the plant.
Organic gardening is not the “mecca” for some plants, but overall, I have had VERY few failures with my plants and this little “transplant experiment” just reinforces my theory of treating the SOIL and letting “Mother Nature” treat the “plant”. She does that very well. :-)
