Global warming Invades Waco, TX

My little “amplifier planter” looked a little sad tonight after all of this “global warming” :
Here’s what it looked like before, late this summer:
I’ll plant new things next growing season and see what I can do with it.
It has received the best organic soil mix in the world and the biological activity in this planter is going “nuts”! It has earthworms, intense compost decay, and “doodle bugs”, along with other beneficial microbes.
It’ll be interesting to see if the organic program protected the plants from this intense cold snap that we had. The sweet potato vine died as expected but we also have some native Texas sage, dusty miller, and the dormant sweet potato growths still in the planter.

I'd never have thought old IT stuff could look so good!

The next recycling project will be an old Compaq "suitcase computer" from the 70's that I want to convert into a planter. That should be most interesting. :-)
