Signs of Spring at last!

We went for a walk yesterday afternoon along one of the lanes from the village to see if we could find any signs of Spring, and there they were … primroses and hellebores – loads of them!

!

We walked further along the track looking out at the wonderful mountain views

then we saw obvious signs on the track of rooting by wild boar. That was a bit scary!

We headed back to the village rather quickly at that point! But it had been nice to see that Spring really WAS just around the corner.

Hi SK & Donna. Thanks for reading my blog. I'm in Spain - the northern region of Cantabria where the climate is not very far removed from that of southern England. We get lots of rainfall, plenty of snow in winter and lovely long summers. I think Spring probably starts a little earlier here than in England - I did notice some cowslips on a grassy bank along the road out of the village. Perhaps I'd better get along there with my camera?

It must be nice to see wild helebores. You have fantastic views. Lovely. I think I would have gone home quick too if I saw signs of a wild boar.
