Hiya, this was written on a board in the “Hermitage House” at Bicton gardens, author unknown but yet so beautiful, wish i had wrote it. hope you all enjoy it as much as i did, his is for all us gardeners..

Divine Retreat

Oh! Sacred solitude, divine retreat,
Choice of the prudent, envy of the great,
By the pure stream and the waving shade,
I court fair wisdom, that celestial made,
There from the ways of man, laid safe ashore,
I smile to hear the distant tempest roar,
There happy and with buisness unperplexed,
This life i relish and secure the next.
