Hello all, had a great day in the garden,my dear wife did all the deadheading while i got on with the potting on of next years perrenial plants. this is our fierst year at this house so the patio garden is a mix of three packets of annualls scattered aroung the edges mixed in with plants we brought along from our last house. Also pots from the last house in. For next year ive grown, Lupins, hollyhocks, sweet williams, Canterbury bells, Rose cuttings, Bellis perrenis (tall type), Delphinians, Pyrenthum and Aubritia !! As you can see i am a reall cottage garden fan with all thanks to the late GREAT Geoff Hamilton. I have also grown Swan river daisies around the pots for next year as well. As we are soon to be in july , is it too late now to sow more perrenials and biennials for next year? And have i missed any ??hope you all had a great day, best wishes, Norrms and family

Think of when the plants set seed naturally and you should be ok. Some need a cold spell to break dormancy (winter) others want to be sown fresh (green) - eg primulas.

Will certainly be looking forward to seeing photos of your cottage garden next year - can't wait to see lots of our native Swan River daisies in your garden.
