Hi Everyone, guess you are feeling the same as me and fed up with all this rain really had enough now…saturday hubby had to work so on sunday we went to Thorncroft nursery they specialize in Clematis and I was looking for a particular Clematis luckily they had just what I wanted but it rained all the time we were there.planted Clematis when we got home in between the raindrops and then rewarded ourselves with a nice cup of tea!Monday started off sunny really thought we had turned a corner with the weather but it turned to rain so we went to Baytree Garden centre Spalding, purchased a new Terracotta pot ,A pagoda for my oriental area ,a new pale green Acer (the name escapes me for the moment) so not a total loss ,then back to work on Tuesday (more rain)today Wednesday thought one of my Azaleas looked a bit sick so investigated took it out of its pot the plant had lost a lot of leaves but had several flower buds on it and is trying to put on new leaves but the compost was absolutely soaked so I had to repot it and I refreshed the compost I have left it in the greenhouse now so it dosen`t get soaked again!Tulip bulbs have gone to mush so had to throw them out all down to too much rain. And we are still in a drought area I really find that hard to believe!!!

Oh, tell me about it, I live in West London where there's a drought order and the rain is pattering on the window as I type this tonight. I was glad when it started raining a few weeks ago, but I, like you, am now sick to death of it... May is my favourite month usually, and it looks as if it'll be ruined this year.

Its still pouring down here as well, to think I was worried about my ponds, I`ve got an extra one in the yard, I have saved a tenner as its too wet for the window cleaner, lol..

I suppose you'll need lots more rain before they stop the drought status. Maybe we'll have a nicer summer than spring :o)

Bamboo,It was raining hard when I woke up this morning, but then it turned very windy pots have gone over a couple of times already however, stopped raining at the moment sun trying to shine...
Lincslass,lol... there has to be an up side to all this rain a tenner in hand to buy something nice for the garden!!
Hywel,
googled our local weather station I`m afraid it said a rather wet summer this year August and September appear to be good though!!!

It's chucking it down here again today - I know its probably a good thing we're going to have a wet summer, but really, I'd far rather have had a wet winter, thanks...

It's windy up here in the North-West as well. The rain hasn't been too heavy, but it was wet enough to soak me while I was planting out some camomile! It arrived by post this morning so I had to get it straight in (beautiful little plants!). Needless to say, it stopped raining as soon as I went indoors!

I agree Bamboo,a wet winter much more preferable to a wet summer...
Hi Melchisedec,I also had some plants to put in straight away on the weekend too, not much fun in the wet!!!

Better make the most of this weekend - apart from Scotland, Saturday and Sunday will be dry. Seems hard to believe... but one encouraging thing, all areas which were 'in drought' but without official drought orders in place, are now not in drought. Those of us with drought orders in place need another 6 of 7 weeks of this kind of weather before we're out of the woods...
