Live on Hatteras Island, village of Rodanthe. This area was hit very hard by hurricane Irene last year.The winds were followed by sound side flooding caused by the shift in the winds and the configuration of the land. My yard was covered by 6-7 feet of quickly rising water. I am happy to report a majority of my plants survived. Some things bloomed better this year than before.
