Church flowers

I thought I’d start to take my camera when I go to church as we have such lovely flower arrangements I thought it would be nice to share some here. So here are the ones I took the weekend before last. I didn’t take any last week but maybe this week I will take some more.

What a lovely idea to use the photos if we had an open day. And 3p I am not the arranger - we have a team of people who take turns to provide them and arrange them if they want or if they only want to provide them someone else from the team will do the arranging.
I have dabbled in arranging but not recently :)
The ones at Easter were beyond amazing - will have to look into my photo collection to see if I took one of those as that was before I joined here.

People dont realise how expensive flowers are for arrangements, you need such a lot. I used to do a small ledge and leave it at that !

Someone has put their heart into making those arrangements. I enjoy looking around old churches, especially if there are nice flower arrangements there.

Every Sunday morning the evacuee and I used to carry a pewter vase* full of flowers to the local Chapel. My father supplied the flowers. When the pot azaleas were in bloom he would carry one down as it was too heavy for us. Always made a splendid sight!
*I still have the pewter vase!

Eirlys I hope the chapel appreciated your father! Pewter is lovely for flowers isn't it? I have a small one that our family had since before I was born. And just as nice is Priknash ware, but sadly they don't make the large sizes any more.

I recall that pottery. I had a black metallic fan-shaped vase. Think I gave it away to a charity shop on one of my Clearing Days!

Wish I'd been at the shop! We called at the monastery shop once when we were passing to try to buy a replacement for a cracked one but they only had little ones. OH managed to run some glue into the crack and waterproof it - have to remember to turn that side to he wall...
I'm impressed you have Clearing Days. Never managed to achieve that yet, except for some trousers that were to big after I'd been off my food for about 6 months!

Those are really beautiful and well worth keeping pics of them. You are fortunate to have such talented arrangers in your congregation! If you ever have an open day or similar you could even display the photos - talents are something to celebrate.
