A New Year

At last able to get out in the garden and take stock of the damage……although surprisingly little apart from the potatoes grown in pots especially for Christmas which unfortunately froze.
Can’t really grumble though in this part of Hampshire and at least the new boiler held up.
Thankful for the sixth sense which made me keep my Autumn Sown Sweet Peas in the Greenhouse for the first time ever.
Thrilled to see I have five Lathyrus Grandiflorus seedlings…..a really mean plant that throws virtually no seed.
But more important, I’m back to being overseen by one of the robins who has taken time off from chasing away anything that moves near the bird feeder.
And hooray for lighter evenings coming.
Happy New Year
Paul

Nice your robin is back with you.
I usually sew sweet peas in the autumn aswell, but never got round to it this time. I'm pleased yours survived the bad weather. You'll get a good show in the summer.
