RAIN AT LAST

Exactly the same here PB...so hot!

Today NY got relief with the mother of all thunderstorms. Lightening! Thunder! Wind! Rain! Hail! I enjoyed it and it's nice to see the garden come back to life.

We had some too at about 5pm last night but not enough for what we've missed this last two months. A lot more required to bring UK back to life. Sattelite pics show it as corn coloured, not green.

It has freshened the whole place up. It feels much more comfortable now :)

The thunderstorms soon passed over here and we had a whole night of useful rain. Now there's a lovely breeze - but the underlying heat is building again.

Yes hot Wales as cooled down torrential rain thunder and lightning here today ! it’s really welcome for our gardens and farmers .

Lots of rain here but no lightning - shame, I was looking forward to a good thunderstorm. The plants are looking happier already and I'm sure the bedding begonias have grown this afternoon!

Yes Stera I was thinking the same thing about my begonias but my petunias are not going last much longer the way they looked after the heavy rain today .

We had high winds and rain last night here in Scotland. It is still raining today and much cooler. We did need rain!!

Yes we also have had very welcome rain. The trees and shrubs seemed to sigh with relief!

(Neighbours are having an extension built. Workers there have a huge bonfire on the lawn. Thatched cottages around!! Unbelievable!)

I felt better today Tuesday, need 3 days of fresh air. Felt like work again and enjoyed it.
