So pretty, I particularly like the delicate flowers on the Phyteuma scheuchzeri.

They are very attractive, do you keep them outside all the time or protect tnem in the winter?

Phil they are all looking great, I have a soft spot for Physoplexis Comosa.
Nice to see the Edrianthus in flower the one I have in the Trough which you sent in the spring has grown well must start thinking how best to keep the winter wet off it.

Pretty delicate looking things. They are all lovely. The Physoplexis comosa looks fascinating.

They are all lovely. Bjs Re the Edrianthus if one was to upend a large coffee jar over the plant would that do instead of taking it inside for the winter. It could be removed during the better weather and replaced if rain or frost was forecast or is that daft idea? I'd have to use a glass jar or the endless wind we get would blow it away. I could use a plastic drinks bottle with the top cut away and air holes drilled in it but I would need to push it in to the soil for a considerable distance to ensure it stayed in place.

pamg-they will all stay outside and face whatever comes this winter.
brian-from your mate in Bath. When I sent my order he didn't have it on his list,so I asked if he had one and bingo. The Edraianthus stayed out all last winter as seedlings and will do the same this.

Phil not sure you have as much rain as I do in winter.
I would certainly be pushing my luck if I did not provide some over head cover.
Scotsgran the theory is alright but would need considerable tweaking. These little treasures need fresh air blowing through them to keep them as dry as possible. a nice big cool fan to imitate the wind blowing across the mountains.lol

So an overhead cover eg. a sheet of glass held by strong clips should do the trick. I've seen Bb use that. Pcw also sent me an Edrianthus and I eagerly await the arrival of some flowers. I'd be more worried about frost in our garden.

I have found the '7 Up' (89p) range of lemonade in Lidl are in stronger 2 litre bottles. It should be possible to drill air holes in them, remove the cap and bottom layer, and push firmly into the compost.

What a fascinating collection. I like the deep blue of the last photo best, but they are all lovely. Going to put this blog in my favourites. I had no idea that there were so many different small campanulas.the 4th pic is fascinating! And the one above it..so pretty! Thank you so much for sharing these treasures with us!
