You should try a day on the east coast. We've been "eaten alive" by the little ...... angels today Lol

Really? They should be in the gardens, biting the greenfly - not you!

We really were inundated by them, do you remember the 'plague' of ladybirds, oooooh it must have been in the late 70's? It was like that all over again.
Perhaps they were just having a holiday before coming inland and starting work, we can but hope :~))

All the gardeners will be looking out for their share! You could put some in a matchbox and give them to your friends! :-)

I don't recall a plague of them??? We'd have been in Kent then...

One year there was a lot of greenfly and then the next it was ladybirds. It might not of been in the 70's but I do remember the queen was carrying a fan with her everywhere she went.

79 - remember it well, at work the medical section were sending so many staff home suffering from heat exhaustion management told them they could only send us out if we were on a stretcher.

I knew it was around there somewhere Wagger, I was only a 'little un' back then but I do remember it being very hot. :~))

I can't even remember what happened last week, let alone THIRTY years ago! LOL.

26 Jul, 2009

I can remember the doctor telling my mother 'It's a boy' - wonder how often he got it wrong?
Did something happen last week? Can't remember!

26 Jul, 2009

Funny, I'm spending more time remembering the past and can't even remember this morning? :~((

26 Jul, 2009

That's definitely a sign of getting old, Ian. :-(

26 Jul, 2009

Oh thanks for that...... Lol :~))

26 Jul, 2009

Well, betcha I'm older than you! But I'm not telling you my age, so you'll never know, will you? ;-)

26 Jul, 2009

I'm good at guessing ages and women never really argue when I guess !
Now taking into account your Garden first, Its mature, dignified, and very 'comfortable' in its suroundinmgs !
Looking at your icon (Henry) He again is dignified, no flighty pup and quite at ease with himself !
And finally taking into account of the way you phrase things, the way you talk to people and your vast knowledge of just about everything,

I would say your age is .............

No more than around 21.

Am I right?.....well?.......I am arn't I?
I'm 45 and quite proud to have made it this far Lol :-))

27 Jul, 2009

Still not telling, Ian - but my two 'children' are parents themselves!

27 Jul, 2009

Never, I can not believe it (who let Victor Meldrew in?) :-))

27 Jul, 2009

...and you know I'm retired!

OOOOhhhhhh....it's POURING down again, I just looked out of the window! Wish I hadn't, now! - I still have to take Henry out...:-(

27 Jul, 2009

Good luck :-((
