I dont know Paul, Maybe Mushy will know..

I haven't heard of an Ethiopian Banana before but on mine the label say's Ensete Ventricosa Maurellii "Red Abyssinian Banana". I got it from Amrulee Exoctics but i have been other places and seen the same plant called different names depending where you are !
I suspect they are the same banana's just different bunch hehe.

I had one of these for three years. 1st winter it lived in the utility room, 2nd it stayed planted and 3rd even though it was heavily wrapped in fleece it didn't make it.
Wheres the global warming when you want it?
9 Oct, 2009
ive lost 2 T&T.. one fleeced in the unheated Greenhouse, and one in the border wrapped with straw, I lve this one so its going in the bedroom :)
ps global warming has the oppisite effect in England!
