African Tulip tree located in The North Park District, San Diego, CA. This tree had morning glory growing up in its branches. Photo taken July 26, 2009.

I'm sure they grow wild there in your tropical climate. It's
ironic they are blooming at the same time of the year.
African Tulip trees bloom mostly in Summer and Fall...however,
I've seen them in full bloom in the middle of Winter also. They
are such strange trees...because I've seen some in bloom every
month of the year.
