Oh that looks beautiful and delicious... are the berries edible? (showing my dreadful ignorance here...oh well ...we're all friends right?)

I asked the same question on the first of these 4 lantana photos, Lori, and I quote what Greenthumb says

"Most things I found say just don't eat them Terry, toxic. But really they are poisonous green and fully ripe it is alright. This dark color is described as fully ripe. But enough risk that maybe better not to try. The leaves are even toxic, can cause skin irritation. Wild."

I agree, they do look delicious ...

Oh they look so tempting...Look but don't touch...it's similar with cashew nuts...they are poisonous at different stages too...and come to think of it we eat mushrooms which can be the same way...just have to make sure you get all the correct info!! but the leaves, flowers and the berries of the lantana are so visually appealing...that's a bit scarey, aye?

Yes you certainly cannot rely on appearances - mind you Lori, I suppose that could apply to all walks of lfe
