Not a very large plant as cosmo goes, but a wonderful color! I loved seeing these.

These were fantastic. No label. I'm on somewhat of a mission to discover what variety this is.

Thanks. I thought it might be but the plant is all that wispy cosmo leaves. Unusual petals for a cosmo I know.

Hi GT - I sew a packet of these last year - were exact same, but the packet said they were crysanthemums (I presumed just an old fasioned variety as they were not the usual flowers for crysanth) although very nice. Also pinks, yellows, whites, oranges in the pack & all have variations of coloured centres. Very easy to grow & nice in a cluster, but the pack definately said crysanthemums - are you sure they are cosmo? Grew about 2ft+ but we have quite high nitrogeon levels in the soil & a lot of good old farmyard mature. Hope this helps. Mine was a pack that came with a gardening magazine & dad gave us the pack of seeds.

Thank you. I found a packet this spring as well, Chrysanthemum carinatum: Painted daisy. CHrysanthemum are hard to get blooming here with our short season. This reminded me to look this one up and plant at the right time! Going to be as many seeds as I can start this year. :-)

Put a pic of some of these on our photos GT if you're interested. Hope you have success in growing them. :o)
