This little experiment has worked out rather well.. This little foxtail fern was purchased from a local nursery and was transplanted into a pot of rich organically amended soil and is thriving like crazy!
It puts on one new growth every week and is constantly trying to "show off". I'll need to "up-pot" the little guy to a 12' container pretty soon because it is growing SO fast!!
It's growing in a mix of native soil, native compost, rock sands, and is fed with a mix of "compost tea" weekly..

They do tend to grow fast but urs look very healthy. Word to the wise tho. plat in a plast pot then u can place it in a fancy pot if u like because if it gets potbound it's soooooo hard to get out and u cud end up breaking the nice pot or the roots will burt it. If it's in a cheep plastic pot u can always cut it out.
