Once again, I have no name for the variety, as it came from a friend's garden. It has the thickest stalks of any of our day lilies.

It is very pretty - we planted this in fall, and have been waiting impatiently to see it bloom. This is our reward.

I wish I had a name to give you all. It may well have come from our local breeder. It's extremely strong plant, with very substantial stems, probably to withstand the sea breezes here (and the odd hurricane...).
The day lilies form really big seed pods, NN, so I will leave a few on the plants and see if they'll dry out for storing. Then I'll try planting some. Who knows? You probably need a greenhouse here to be successful.
