mine have been a lot bigger too. its all the rain i reckon. so some good has come from it.

Really? OK - I believe you! At that Nursery last week, I asked the owner how he gets flowers on his Acidanthera...he had pots for sale with buds on! He said that he waters them profusely from the time the first shoots appear.
I don't think any of mine are going to flower (new ones!) - so I shall remember this tip!

i planted loads of these acidanthera about 8 yrs ago. i had leaves the first year then nothing ever again. dont know what happened to them, perhaps too cold ...
no idea so i have never tried them since.

They are not hardy, Sbg, sadly. I've tried them from new corms each year, since I had some from the RHS, which did flower, but no luck since. :-(

I do understand as it is too bold for you I do agree but a little bit different is nice to have now and then.
