Opposite to what happen there to you in the north part of the planet... the summer here is the plants killer... they are burnt from the sun... you see the plants in the greenhouse during summer here :)

GT, would you enlight me with the difference between pansies and violas?

They are essentially both derived from the violet family, viola is the smaller of the two and usually carries less blooms on the plant at one time. The pansy is the larger version cultivated from the viola for a scent and more flowers. The viola is closer to the native plant and hardier, the pansy needs more sun. So really the big ones are pansy and the little one violas. To american money for size, viola is like a nickel and pansy a quarter or half dollar.
These look like pansy to me since the plant size itself is so large, the violas are littler. My violas are little plants with a few flowers and my pansies become nice little bushes like this.
