Summer colour

Summer colour

While many gardens open to the public in the South West of England are frequently described as 'woodland' or 'spring' gardens with their fine displays of camellia and rhododendron, Winsford Walled Garden in Devon comes into its own during the summer. Yet already the plants are preparing themselves. Here's one example photographed today, the 4th April, 2008.

'Hel' no need to guess what you're doing! Still, wasn't it gorgeous yesterday? It's not obvious from the photo, yet it's almost six inches across!
