This is a Wood frog that I found in my Japanese Anemone one day. They are the only North American frog found north of the Arctic Circle, so Lori, you may see one of these ! They go to water to breed in early spring but he may venture far from water during the summer. He hibernates in forest debris during winter. His voice sounds like a series of short raspy quacks.
