Thank you for your comments! I wasn't at all sure about this when it went up - bit 'pub beer garden' (not that I said that to the landscaper, mind you!). Now the boxes and beds are planted up, and the climbers are growing, it looks much nicer. I did feel a bit sick initially - goodness knows what the neighbours were thinking!

the black looks great.

Thank you Suey. We've got used to the black now. I think people are surprised when they see it - when you try to describe it, I think it's hard to imagine black in a garden.
