Like this pic and the one after. Used to hate fuschias until a few months ago and I bought some....different now though!!

How things change when you see something for the natural & simple beauty held within nature's creations......

10 Aug, 2009

its age i think OB, we appreciate these things around us more, when young who cares lol

10 Aug, 2009

AGE??? AGE??? I am a mere mortal....just because I have a 5 year old grandson....well, I never!! lol!!

Yeh, I know what you mean tho SB. I've always said that your 'tastes' change or adapt ar are 'added to' roughly every decade. I did things in my 30's I would never have done in my 20's and now hitting 40 last year, it's like, Mmmmm.....gardening seems good! lol!!

I just think you start to appreciate things more the older you get.

10 Aug, 2009

a grandad at 40 well thats not to bad an age wait till your closer to 50 lol, i cant believe im almost there. they laugh at work when im chatting to my clients talking gardening and birds, use to be nightclubs and men he he

10 Aug, 2009

I was thinking the same!
How come I'm buyying plants instead of shoes & clothes all of a sudden????????

10 Aug, 2009

lol mari, its awfull isnt it,, to be young again, maybe not, wouldnt want to be like the young today, out of control, think i`ll stick to my garden

10 Aug, 2009

Yep! I AGREED with that! S**t! I AM getting old!!!!
Shoot me now, just shoot me now! LOL!

10 Aug, 2009

I didn't have kids of my own, unfortunately. Married once....too often...for 4 years and it just never happened.

Looking back, although I'm gutted I've not got my own, it was meant to be and over the years, I never met anyone who was right.....and then Ali came along and she had a boy - Jac's dad - and a girl. I don't see the son so much as he's up the valleys living with Jac's mum. They're doing well.

Nic I see more often and I know she idolises me from what I'm told and as for my little soldier.....well, we're the bosses of the world remember!!

Life's a funny old game but the experiences we go through shape us to the people we are today and will become tomorrow.....ark at me getting all profound and wot!!

10 Aug, 2009

Only when you've finished your garden Mari and posted the pics!!

lol!

10 Aug, 2009

lmao mari,, cant stop laughing, baz thinks ive lost it

10 Aug, 2009

well you seem to be happy OB with ali and your step children, thats more than some people have, enjoy it all :o))

10 Aug, 2009

Yep! I tried for 20 years (& 2 husbands) to have kids, spent thousands on IVF, but not to be. Now I borrow my friend's 6, (yes 6!!!) & I can hand them back when they wear me out! I'm really glad you found your "One" OB. Be happy & if what you put into life is any measure, you're due to get a whole lot out of it!!
Now I@M going all philosophical.Geez!
:~))

10 Aug, 2009

I do and Ali has said that if I don't marry her by the time she's 50, she won't do it......I'm holding out!!

10 Aug, 2009

HMmmmmmmmmmmm!

10 Aug, 2009

Ali been married twice. Second time she knew was a mistake but married off back off serious illness. Knew on her wedding day it was a mistake but felt it was too late by then. She also said that her first marriage was wrong and that she wishes I was father to her kids - ah bless!

Well, she never had a 'proper wedding' in her words and marrying me will be like the first time for her. I said I couldn't get married in a church as I would be embarassed when the vicar says: 'Ah, Mrs Reynolds, how lovely to see you again!!'

10 Aug, 2009

i think he`s kidding, he loves her to bits, ding dong the bells are going to chime lalalalala lol

10 Aug, 2009

we went to vegas and had a great timeOB and cheaper, no fuss just the two of us

10 Aug, 2009

Thankyou very much....quick Elvis impression for you!

SB, I would do it tomorrow if we could afford it but although we would like to do it abroad, the kids couldn't afford it and as marrying me means more to her than anything, apart from her kids of course, then she won't do it without them there which I fully support.

We are looking to have a quiet day with close family followed by 70's/80's disco at night with a buffet to match - remember all the pineanpple and cheese hedgehogs and sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, and so on. THEN, spend the bulk on a nice villa somewhere for 2-3 weeks. We don't want all the fuss of people waiting on us so simple is good. That's why I'm good then I guess...lol!

10 Aug, 2009

lol,, well its sounds good to me, doesnt matter what you spend as long as your b oth happy with it all and have your family together, i wish you both all the best and cant wait for the pics :o), and on that note OB im off to bed, nite nite

10 Aug, 2009

G'nite SB.

10 Aug, 2009

AWwwwwwww! That is so sweet!
No, seriously, I think it's lovely!
I did the same, turned up, thought "I dont want to marry him!" & didn't back out cos I didn't want my dad saying "I told you so"! Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face!
I'm really glad that you 2 are so happy together. May you remain so!

Night San!

Fuchsias look nice floating in a bowl of water. Sometimes I collect a few fallen ones if they're all right and put them to float in a little dish. They look nice with floating candles too.

11 Aug, 2009

Hee hee! We had that conversation, Hywel! I totally agree tho!
I have some teeny rose-shaped floating canles that I use.

11 Aug, 2009

Oh yes we did to lol
