I contacted the British Entymological Association and apparently it is the Rose Sawfly, which causes havoc in rose gardens, very nice man emailed me back, so now I know, good job I got rid of it........LOL

Neither have I LOL. See that I put a 'y' instead of an 'o' in the name, idiot LOL. It's got horrible sort of larvae and I hope it doesn't come back again. Luckily it apparently has lot of natural predators to clear up it's larvae, good job!!!
