I'm afraid the camera is lying here! The petunia is nowhere near as blue as this but it looked so lovely I thought I'd include it anyway. Wouldn't it be lovely if they were this colour?

It's something to do with the pixels and the 'noise', that is what excessive colour on a digital photograph is called, but I am not sure how it all works, my daughter would explain it but I cannot. It is still a stunning close-up though.
