what is the smoke from GT?

Wildfires all around. We have 2.4 million acres burnt this year. For three weeks they were in every direction, so no matter the wind direction, we got it. The rain started two weeks ago and stopped it at last and with that dropping the temperature.

oh my...thats a huge amount of damage.....must be worrying for you...

They weren't too close. We only protect structures here, so fires are let go. But the smoke was miserable. I took to wearing a facemask.

The smoke doesn't seem to have bothered this Dahlia..it's lovely. I really like the color.

This one does have a spendid color. Give or take the smoke. :-)

It is Aleyna. We were in the middle of many this year. The rain has stopped alot of it for this year now.

I'm glad the rain took care of it.... we are forrestless.... and the humans are not very conscious of that... :(

Very pretty dahlia - do you know the name?

This is from a six pack planted from seed at the neighboring greenhouse. The variety is called stargazer. Some really nice one, those I saw. A few never started blooming. I've decided the bed I put them in is trouble.....lol.
