Floatting plants

It,s worth a try Carol , I don,t know anything about water plants !

No i dont either,all i no is every year i have to get some and you cant buy them from a garden centre, have to go to aquerium, and as i dont drive or have a car its abit arkward from where i live, dont mind walking but i have to cross over a big dual carraige way and a big roundabout i have to cross and there's no footpath either so if i really need anything i have to get taxi so it can work out quite expensive.

I hope these stay alive over winter for you...

PP dont know what they called, but i get them every year Sandra have left them in aswell, but with them coming from the med the cold weather here kills them, thats why i'm going to bring some in doors in a bowl and leave in bathroom in a corner,aslong as i keep changing water as water goes stale, they may be ok for next spring,they've got two choices they either live or they dont, let you know how there doing in the winter.

Thanks Carol just I used to have a pond when we lived at the Cottage and had Water Hyacythns which like you say didnt come through our winters look very similar to your plants. Good luck with yours hope you can nurse them through to next year

Yes Clarice they look like water hyacinths and can be kept indoors as you plan and then put back in pond in spring !
