Close up pictures are my favourite

Yes, I never was much of a photographer, but since owning a digital and since joining GOY, I find I'm taking more and more pictures in the garden and can't get very good close ups. Perhaps I should invest in something a bit better!

I live way down soth but drove past your area today as we came back from 4 days in North East! My eldest son is a comedian but he doesn't drive so I take him to most of his gigs, usually in holiday camps and clubs/pubs in Southern/south east/south west england. But he was asked to do a run of 4 nights at differnt holiday centres in north east,(Whitley Bay, Crimdon etc) so my wife and I went too and made a little holiday of it!
