Lovely lilies Val. I've heard the stamens can be poisonous to cats if they get the pollen on their fur, then lick it. Judging by the fence though, these look quite tall. Morgana did a blog on this subject this week, did you see it?

Yes Lily I did see the blog and as you say the fence is quite tall and am lucky that the cats never try to climb that fence, but nevertheless it is a worry so move the lillies as soon as they start to go over.

Wise move Val, no point in taking chances is there?

These look beautiful Val are they lily trees? I planted one bulb in a pot in may, it grew to about 2ft and hd 5 flowers. The perfume from them was amazing.

Four bulbs in a pot and they grew like crazy, the fence is 7ft.Forgot the name , but yes the perfume is fab.
Thanks Skillen, ps your garden is immaculate!

Thanks Val - though if you saw it now you wouldn't say that! I've got a lot of things to dig up and replace so keeping it tidy is not a priority. What do you do with the tree lilies over the winter. Do you take them in/cut the foliage down? What size of pot do you have the 4 bulbs in?
