I found this beautiful plant today - it will grow in part-shade. It should flower in May/June with starry white flowers. Its leaves are glossy and a glowing amber colour.

Oooh good! That's what it's getting! The label says it flowers in May/June, but there's a bud appearing. :-)

Are you sure it is labeled right Spritz?.. mine does look very much like yours... the pic's i have on file are much greener on the leaves but the pic's on file are of later in the year, it changes colour acording to time of year... i have just been out and looked and my plant now is just the same as yours.... i will load a pic in a minute... mine is just in bud too.... mine is called S. fortunei 'Rubrifolia' i just double checked in the RHS bible and mine is the right name..there is a pic of it too so no mistaking.... i remeber you really liking it when i bought it a couple of years ago...unless your IS a different one mine has never flowered in spring only ever autumn.... i now have four of them.......have a look in my file at the flowers... i'll take a pic of the leaves in a mo.. as they seem to change with time of year...

... i just took some pic's mine is more green than yours is... but i think this is largely due to age of leaves....and amount of light they get..... the bigest plant i have with mature leaves that does get a bit of sun is very green with the red underside... but i have two others that are more browny orange.... see what you think... i think light has a lot to do with it... i think if they get more light they turn green.... because the area where i have mine planted gets a bit of sun this time of year for a couple of hours but earlier in the year gets very little and it was very bronse when it first appeared in early summer...i just moved the other two into this area from underneath some annuals where they were completely shaded... the growth is younger and they are more orange.... have a look see what you think.....

I've commented on the photos, Angie! If it's not the same plant, it is certainly related...closely... lol.

Wow. Didn't know that saxifrage could look like that. Put on favourites for future reference.
