Jacque I have had african violets for years that bloomed over and over . The only thing that ever does them in is a good dose of neglect from me!! As long as they are watered properly and have the right light exposure and an occasional treat of fertilizer, the will go in and out of their dormant times very nicely on their own.

most have little offshoots that you can pop off and root and make more. Once you get going, you're overwhelmed. non-trailing varieties flower better if the off shoots are removed as well.

I lost all the african violet plants I posted on this sight. I am starting all over again.

They do come and go. All of mine are looking straggly at the moment. Need some divisions and new starts as well. This one became a monster, almost more than I can handle. I hope you find some nice new ones, so many out there!
