large ficus

my lovely large ficus in full leaf and happiness, however she has been rather nastily trained before she came to me and requires some rather drastic surgery on her top 1/3 next Spring. The bottom of her is fine, but the 'umbrella' top is pretty unsightly and she is over a metre tall. Her top 1/3 will be cut and sealed at an angle and yes I am scared at the thought of doing it!

I know what you mean, I just think it was done badly, close up it is pretty nasty but from a distance she is lovely,I adore her but think she will look much better after major surgery!

It's a beauty, hope that it gets trimmed up okay :)

Yeah, this is like the one I saw in Dobbies garden Centre for £150.
You sure got a bargain!

Facelift, eye lift, neck lift, where do you start, never mind finish. But even if I had the money, I'm too much of a coward, and I'd still have old knees...

I'm too much of a coward too but I'd like to wake up 3 sizes slimmer with everything where it was when I was 18!

I dunno about that anymore, personally, I'd settle for waking up and not having arthritic stiffness any more!

too much gardening??! I must admit when I've had a few hours gardening I seize up, but then I look out of the window the following morning and it's all worth it...

I rather like it - reminds of a "cloud" tree ,which presumably is what was being aimed at.
