still a work in progress, this started out as a lawn until our puppy dug huge holes all over it, I used his handywork to put in a pond and turned the other holes into beds, the gravel has just been added, this cuts down on the mowing, fantastic!! The dog has now been banned and a fence erected across the patio.

I ask because I am going to be putting in a pond next winter and my garden has octagonal seating area and octagonal greenhouse....you can see my thinking here....

This is a great idea. I like the mixture of gravel and greenery.
