Agree:o)

You think there will ever be any chance of him returning to his native country ? Nelson Mandela hailed as a hero this man exiled doesnt make much sense to me ..

3 Sep, 2009

No nor me as Nelson Mandela killed a man

3 Sep, 2009

He's a truly great man, & so compassionate!
I was lucky enough to meet him (unplanned, in a garden at Samye Ling) & he just exudes peace & calm, but has a really infectious giggle!
He wont be able to return to Tibet; if he does the Chinese militia will kill him.

3 Sep, 2009

Yes its awful such a shame peaceful people too.

3 Sep, 2009

Certainly thats what he was accused of Morgana but the regime had reasons for wanting him out of the way much like the Chinese would claim the Dhalai Lama a subversive influence ...

3 Sep, 2009

Yes nothing changes does it they fear people following and they lose the control

3 Sep, 2009

The chinese government have banned religious practise in Tibet, and the Dalai Lama is the political AND religious leader, so he's seen as a big threat! He was only 15 when he had to walk over the mountains to escape!

3 Sep, 2009

I know as my uncle married a chinese woman my auntie during war.

3 Sep, 2009

He was also lucky to meet you marie !

4 Sep, 2009

I think he is a very special person and so gentile. He looks as though he is enjoying talking to the children.

4 Sep, 2009

I wonder if those children really know about him and what he stands for and believes ?
I hope they realised who and what he was about :)
Lucky kids.

4 Sep, 2009

Thanks Richard! Yes, VERY lucky! NOT! He got the benefit of my goldfish impression!
The kids in the pic are obviously stifling giggles.
Who knows how much they understood, but by now maybe they "get it" a bit more!

To be in the presence of an enlightened one, so the teachings tell us, is enough to give a propitious rebirth and will change the life path of anyone so blessed whether they know or not!

4 Sep, 2009

I agree, & I think he IS truly enlightened, a Boddhisatva!

4 Sep, 2009

It just amuses me to think of all the big hard security people who follow him everywhere wearing monks robes next time round! lol

4 Sep, 2009

He definitely influences everyone who ever meets him!

4 Sep, 2009

wow Marie i bet you were grinnnin all the way home after seeing him.....;-))

4 Sep, 2009

He's been in Ammanford this summer. I didn't see him though.

4 Sep, 2009

Know what you mean H he's missed meeting me a few times as well, ah he'll get there in the end I'm sure!

4 Sep, 2009

I didn't know he was here until afterwards. It wasn't advertised.

4 Sep, 2009

but he nearly got t you, what youve got to do is let him know where you are!

4 Sep, 2009

There was a question about the Dalai Lama on 'eggheads' tonight the correct answer of the 3 was something like 'most wise'

5 Sep, 2009

Youre starting on Monday M. have a great time, My first (induction ) day isnt till the 17th and then its freshers week so won't get any learnin in untill Oct by the look of it!

I'm sure it will be great fun for you, though I have a nasty feeling it will be Haarrrrd work ahead, and I think it will mean less time on here as well!

B***er thats today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

happy first day at uni M. well done just another 2 years 364 days to go now ,I envy you your early start, I'm bored out my skull waiting..

7 Sep, 2009

Thanks Indy, but its another 3 years & however many days! Its an honours course!
I've got my timetable, 3 days a week & 2 home study (work) days! No placement this year, but 50 days in one block next!
The induction day was boring, long (got home at 7!) & I ran about here there & everywhere, in heels! NOT good on cobbled streets!! Some lovely little gardens dotted about the grounds tho! Taking camera in future, & they have their own botanic gardens!! Havent found them yet!

7 Sep, 2009

Yes my uni has a botanical gdn too so I'll at least be able to blog about that, got a feeling my gdn's going to go to wrack and ruin in the next 3 years, oh well, the price of edercashun i supose!

8 Sep, 2009

This is true! But hopefully you'll get in there at the weekends!

8 Sep, 2009

What are you going to be studying, Indy? Sounds exciting, good on you!

9 Sep, 2009

He's joining the rat race!!!!

9 Sep, 2009

That makes it sound like he's going to be lecturing, not studenting....hmm, am now suitably baffled....

11 Sep, 2009

I am not joining the RAT RACE i am learning how to defend myself from it properly so I can pass that knowledge on to those who cannot
a)understand it,
b)afford it,
c)know where to find it.
AND yes in my chosen field within the discipline I am going to study, I probably know more about it than they do and will end up lecturing about it if unofficially, its happened before !

I am off to study LAW on a 3 yr degree course in16 days and counting down!
My chosen field and final dissertation will be on (and forgive me here but its not the finalised title , only something like it),
The Individuals rights at Common Law and the Illegal intrusion and imposition of Contract (Admiralty) Law into society to abjudge those rights, and introduce a system of slavery to the state, to service the states state of fiscal bankruptcy.

11 Sep, 2009

Right. I shall go and apply a cold compress to the back of my neck whilst I try to fathom if that's actually supposed to mean something! ( It isn't, is it? sounds plausible, though...if unreadable and boring as flippin' 'eck ) ...I'm not sure common law still exists in Scotland, so I'm not one to pass comment, cogent or otherwise...

Have a bl@@dy good three years!

11 Sep, 2009

Sorry Indy! I was only teasing! A lawyer with a conscience (& a consciousness) is (or will be) a very rare thing! Good for you!
And I THINK I get where you're coming from, but I'm too arty farty to have a sensible contribution to make! I take it that'll include stuff like the minimum wage statute, that had the opposite effect from what it was supposed to achieve! I cant remember if common law still exists in Scotland either, B!

11 Sep, 2009

Common law is the law of the LAND, all of it , its what the whole system is based on Contract law is the law of the SEA and should not apply to those who are on LAND. In fact all contract law is termed STATUTE, and a statute is NOT a LAW, it is an act of parliament given the force of law (a completely different thing) All statutes have in their preamble the words ,given the force of LAW by your consent Therefore if you do not consent then they are not laws which can bind you or cause you to be prosecuted by....Think carefully " by your consent", it means exactly that IN LAW.
If people knew the LAW and their RIGHTS in LAW then we would not be in the mess we are in!!!!!

11 Sep, 2009

...is it true, though, that you can still kill a Scotsman within the city walls of York with a bow and arrow, and get away ( scot-free, I suppose you could say ) with it? A statute that was never repealed, apparently! I don't think anybody's put it to the test, thus far....

I suspect that most ( note: most, not all ) lawyers shudder at the thought of ordinary Joe/Josephine Public knowing his/her rights in law....their power-fiscal base lies in the continued ignorance of the fearful unwashed masses, doesn't it?

Time someone like you got out there and redressed the balance....go Indy!

12 Sep, 2009

My daughter is going on a field trip to see the Dahli Lama in Vancouver. I think I'm more excited than she is. :o)

12 Sep, 2009

There are people like me "out" there, but they are not given a voice by TPTB or their lackeys the media, just to keep the people ignorant.
Yes you can kill a scotsman inside the city walls of York and Chester and I think probably any Northern city with walls!

For info on those out there, TPUC 's website is a good start!

12 Sep, 2009

I have two questions for you Indy (FOC I hope)..

1) Where can you kill an Englishman, Welshman or Irishman?
2) Is there anywhere you can kill a man outside the walls?

Not that I have anyone in mind, you understand. It's just that I would like to know where I stand should such the need arise.

P.S Good Luck with Uni both of you.

14 Sep, 2009

TWH the old laws on killing the welsh and Scots were never repealed by the city councils most of them state that an Engishman/city dweller in one of these cities has the right to kill any said person if found within the city walls during the hours of darkness/closure of the gates.
As so many cities no longer have gates that are closed the law itself does not still bear its penalty, but technically the law is still in force and it could be claimed as a defence (its not likely but it could) it was designed to make sure that the gates would not be stormed from the inside and the city sacked and looted! much more than this I don't know, I'm sorry!

I have never heard of an outside the walls policy, though I suppose it was posible in places like the roal forests and such!

14 Sep, 2009

Thnx Indy...v.interesting...I'll bear this in mind when in the midst of a storming. lol

15 Sep, 2009

In York it's definitely restricted to killing with a bow and arrow! And no, the City gates are no longer locked at nights, although they ( 'Bars' they are called in York....Bootham Bar, Monk Bar, etc. ) are still there....

Watch your back!

15 Sep, 2009

Gee thanks! I was there last summer, & I quite liked the place & wanted to go back! Having second thoughts now!
