He was all nobbles and bobbles Suey, well over an inch as well, I don't think I'm exagerating???

I think this is a 'silver Y moth',the white shape on the wings give it its name :)

That's him alright Aster, apparently they're common:-( I've never seen one before or maybe I've never been so close to one to notice his weird shape 'cos if he flies at me, I'm out of there:-) Bet you haven't seen one either Janey:-)

There are so many different types of moth, I suppose anything which stands out like the Y and the comma ,makes identification so much easier :) I've not seen one either,they are day and night fliers so you would think we'd see them more !

I haven't Ba.....they are a funny shape from the side, another one looking like a dried leaf....:o)
