Did you buy the slabs or did you already have them Marie..

They were out the front, along with the gravel, so no pennies spent yet! i even had weed membrane left from the patio bit, & got the sand from under the old path!

This is looking good and will look great. I'm living with quite alot of 'works in progress' at the moment, I think most folk do. Could you plant/screen off the path for privacy or is that south facing? we wouldn't want you to have to live in the big shadow it would cast!!

The fence at the path faces west or south-west (I think!) It gets the sun from about noon up til early evening!
I do intend to do something about it, but, as usual, money dictates!
I'm going to be putting in bamboos,willow & tibetan paeony , but theres only about 3ft behind the shed, & I need to leave room for te bins, compost bin etc., & still have access to them!
I'd be a happy bunny if I could have a similar budget to the path, lol!

Well Done Mad, I love Freebies :) I think you need to get to your local tile shop and ask if they will donate all there broken tiles :) I allways wanted to make a Mosaic table for the garden, i saw it in one of my Gardening books but never got round to doing it ....

I did it once, but the table was stolen!! I'm going to go round everywhere I know that sells tiles etc & beg for the broken ones!
