I wondered the same thing Janey. It won "Fine Arts" Best in Show and there was a sign that read PLEASE DON'T TOUCH... so I didn't dare strum it. I'm guess the sound quality as suffered, maybe not but I bet it definitely has a different sound than one that's not covered w tiles.
