Is that wind burn Swanky?.....

Just googled it Swanky...and your right...it does look like that in the pics!!...sorry to scare you like that ((:....its with the patch of green at the bottom made it look burnt......

I have'nt slept all night..LoL. the Green patch is the new growth ,then that will turn Gold/Orange and stay that colour till spring then it turns Golden Yellow .............APPARENTLY .Hummmmmm!!

Swanky, 'Rheingold' does turn Orange/Gold but only in much colder weather, your plant certainly doesn't look too good, but not so easy to tell from that pic.
Try scratching the wood on the coppery branches to see if it is white or brown, if it's brown then your plant is dying.

As its dark out i'll have to look tomorrow morning,and hope it's ok!! thanx for your help , :o))

First thing this morning in my PJs and went to have a look at my Rheingold and the branches or white,so i think i will give it some general fertilizer and see what happens :o))

Hope the neighbour's weren't peeking.....lol.....good luck with it:)

I thought i would give you an update on this plant ...I cut the top off and it is still growing.... so you were right it was wind burn but i saved it !!! phhew :-))))
