The displays around town have been exceptionally good this year. Helped make going shopping a much brighter, happier experience! :-)

You might take more photos from a little further away so we can all enjoy the displays. You might make a blog with the photos like I did a short time ago.

I'd like to see others take up the idea of making blogs with the flower displays put on by their local councils to brighten up our towns. It would be fantastic to be able to see the displays that our local councils put on to brighten up our towns & cities.

This is an excellent line of thought, Balcony. I have seen a few blogs by members on the public displays in their own town/village. The larger traffic roundabouts are often wonderfully planted up, too, and could be regarded as gardens in their own right. :-)

Most of the photos in my blog were taken of a big "roundabout" if you can call a triangular island a "roundabout"! LOL!

I find it almost impossible to get a photo of the "triangular roundabout" from ground level but, not being a bird, there's little I can do about it!

A triangular "round"about? I'd plant it up with those "choc" coloured phormiums and grasses from that pic in your blog, and call it the "Toblerone" roundabout. Pity there are no public buildings close by to offer you a "bird's-eye" view. :-( This would have been interesting to see.

I quite agree, David, that there aren't any public building close by that I could get a photo from. There is in fact a three storey public building to one side of the "roundabout" (not strictly a "roundabout" either since cars can't go round it but pass along one of it's 3 sides. The short side & one of the long ones converge to lead the traffic along the ring road, while the other long side leads traffic away to other towns) it's where our local housing association has its offices. I don't think a member of the public would be allowed up just to take photos of a "triangular roundabout"! LOL!
