A real glut this year Sandra?? Everyone I speak to seems to have. People keep asking each other if they want Tomatoes(they can't give them away) I've given a few away but made two lots of soup and frozen for winter. Will make one more batch if I have time!

Our whole area is dry Sandra. it's incredible seeing how much rain some parts of the country have had. My front lawn is brown and bare in many places. Our parks and grass verges are also bare and dusty, even into October. We have had so much strong wind and no rain since Tuesday 15th September (apart from a few spots for 10 minutes last night) Also, we don't even seem to be getting dew on the grass in the mornings. I've hardly worked for the past 4 or 5 weeks. Some peoples lawns, I haven't cut for 8 or 9 weeks. Now the temperatures are droppin g so I'm concerned the lawns won't green up before winter. Never known that before. I need to scarify, spike and topdress/seed my lawn but I can't do it while it's so dry and hard!
Re the Toms, I made another batch of soup today to freeze. I had a bowlfull....gorgeous!!!!!
