It's normally spiders which are known as daddy long legs. Often the Harvestman which is not a true spider anyway. Is that as clear as mud?

A crane fly Gee. These are the ones that deposit their eggs on your lawn as they fly over it. The resultant lava is the leather jacket which just loves your grass roots.
