It's the same here Irish. We've had no real rain for months.

i keep topping up the bird baths , cant have the animals and birds suffering

No rain here either although the grass has 'greened up' now we are having such heavy dews in the morning.

Remember in July Eileen when we joked that each time I took Bonnie for a walk it rained, well since July, we've had no rain either - what's going on! I would expect lots of rain at this time of year. No doubt we'll get it all at once and be flooded again.
